Speech Technology Center (STC) has been operating continuously since 1990. The company’s head office is located in St.-Petersburg with branches in Moscow and Saarbrucken, Germany. STC’s state-of-the-art technologies are supplied through the dealer network in about 60 countries worldwide. STC’s in-house R&D team designs and develops complete solutions for all stages of speech signal processing. STC is a leading provider of innovative speech products for businesses, consumers and institutions.


STC is a privately-held company with a long tradition. Since its foundation, STC has built a team of 170 professionals, including 17 world-class Ph.D. speech scientists. STC is playing a key role in the “The Russian Voice Technologies” consortium, and “The Russian Biometric Society”.

All of our products have been reviewed by the International Executive Service Corps (IESC), a private, non-profit organization funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and were considered to be comparable to similar products available in the USA. Such products as IKAR Lab, VoiceNet, Sound Cleaner, have been recognized as being technologically superior to their counterparts worldwide.

The Speech Technology Center is officially authorized to undertake research & development for governmental agencies. As a result, a great number of STC customers are in law enforcement and governmental bureaus. For instance, more than 200 workstations for speech signal processing and speaker identification are used in various forensic labs in Russia and other Independent States of the former USSR. Yet, STC products ensure high performance for a variety of other governmental and commercial applications, such as the President’s Administration, Parliament, Federal Court, justice system, police, intelligence services, security services, banking, educational, scientific and medical institutions, telecommunications service providers, domestic and foreign high-tech companies.
